Trading Guidelines

Please choose the appropriate forum to advertise in depending on whether you are looking to buy or sell an item and whether it is a vehicle or component parts.

This category will be open to the public, if you have items to list which you only want OMOC members to view then I suggest you use the spares database in the members only forums.

In order to avoid nuisance enquiries; once you have bought/sold the items you need, please edit the title to let us know, Put PLEASE DELETE TOPIC or similar, We can then remove it from the section to keep it all a bit more tidy and keep it fresh. Any advert over 2 months old will be deleted.

To avoid any scam merchants or dishonest people that may try and con forum users we suggest that both parties do the following.

  1. [*]Get the name and address of the person you are dealing with. [*]Get their HOME tel number before parting with money. [*]PayPal is a good method of payment but check if the seller is a verified user. [*]Get pictures of the actual goods you are buying. [*]If at all possible when parting with a reasonable amount of money , collect the good in person


    It would also do no harm to ask if they are an OMOC member or check how long they have been an ACTIVE member of the forum or if any other users know them.

    Also when paying by PayPal, always use your credit card, never the direct bank transfer, as if you then don't receive the goods, you will get a refund from the card company and they will pursue the seller.
