  1. Love the Polar White Exclusive Coupe. I'm not sure I would be modifying it though; looks great as it is. How many non-modified Exclusive Coupes are left? Every time one comes up it's either had a red-top or 400 bodykit fitted. Anyone got a completely standard Exclusive coupe?
  2. The 400 kit has only just been fitted, as the advert states it is has just been resprayed. The XE was already fitted and it was a rally car previously.
  3. Thanks for the response guys. Seal has now been changed Not sure I'm going to be able to get the adjustment I'm looking for by listening to the exhaust; it runs fine but is lacking slightly and I have experienced this before when the timing is too far retarded. It only needs to be a fraction out and the difference will be noticeable. I'll have to get my hands on a Haynes! Cheers Alan
  4. Hi folks, I am trying to get my 87' Exclusive coupe ready for a trip to one of your meets and would like to check the ignition timing as it seems a bit sluggish. I haven't got a Haynes (yet) so would someone be able to advise the timing please? Also does anyone know a rough time for changing the rear gearbox seal? Mine's shot and would like an idea of how big a job this is. Thanks Alan
  5. Fuzznag rally have the perfect donor car for a rally 400 replica. It's already got the 400 bonnet, 3 piece rear wing, fibreglass doors, red top on 48 dellortos, LSD, straight cut box, cage, rally intercom, heated screen etc. The bodywork needs stripping back to bare metal but that's why it's ideal as a donor car because you will be replacing things like the wings and bumpers anyway. Also it's a non-sunroof coupe so no worries about rot in the roof! Speak to Gavin and tell him that Alan Forster recommended contacting him. It really is ideal especially if you want the full-on rally experience. Worth considering anyway. Regards Aln
