  1. I had the similar issue as OP in only being told on the day my membership as finished. I didn't renew straight away as other issues to contend with, but just this minute renewed via membership tab at the top of the page, paid by PayPal and it seems I am back up and running. Thanks for the thread saves me opening a new one for the same issue. I was going to ask reference, with no 2 week notification on renewal but suspected an issue with software as mentioned by Jess above.
  2. I have a similar issue with my 5 speed. The noise does go when the clutch is pressed.
  3. No I haven't used it, as it was in my list once I got my car back on the road. I have got some GM oil to put in soon, as my gearbox is a little noisy and I hope it will help. The redline was a back up plan if I couldn't get the genuine GM Oil, as I did spend days checking specs and contents of the oil. I wish I kept my NATO fuels, oils and lubricant book, as that had all the derivatives of all the oil manufactures and there NATO use, if NATO oil supplies were not available.
  4. Hope these pictures help. I do have some info on the 4 speed gearbox via Opel GT Source website if needed by anyone.
  5. I was looking through a BMW forum a few years/decades ago on the same gearbox fitted to some of there cars and a few members recommended Redline MTL manual oil (Amazon link) for the gearboxes.

  7. I have just had my Agreed Value for my Manta B (nowhere near your standards) for £20,000. I just plucked that figure out of my head on what I spent and what I thought it was worth to me at a minimum. I thought they might drop me down a bit, but they agreed without hesitation, which makes me think I could have squeezed a little more out of them, but I wasn't pushing my luck. I sent 6 pictures to the agreed valuation part of the company with a description of the work carried out and they replied within 4 days to say yes, without any extra information from me. This is at a insurance price of £151 this year (£86 basic policy) via Lancaster insurance (5000 miles). The agreed value is a 2 year certificate. In todays market and if the right interest in selling the car, I know it would be worth more, especially with all the spares I have to either fit or sell individually. I would think looking at your project which could/should help your valuation a minimum of £25,000 would be better for you, but you should most definitely get £20,000 if I can. IMO your car out performs mine on all levels of attention and deserves a better agreed valuation, than I got, as the work you have put in is fantastic. P.S. my home address is not the most desirable area and the car is not garaged at this present time. It is under CCTV detection and on my driveway.
