The jacket I have in mind was sold via the Opel / Vauxhall dealer network. The attached picture is from the rear of a 1983 Opel Kadett brochure and shows the jacket on display on the left of the picture. They sold a similar style of jacket in the 1970's which had two large yellow stripes down each arm and a large OPEL yellow patch / badge on the front of the jacket.
