Hi eveyone.

I was just wondering if anyone out there was planning on attending any of the following car shows this summer.

These are all in the North west.

1 . Mawdesley  car show. End of may.

2 . Southport classic car show

3 . Ormskirk classic car show. Aug bank holiday weekend.

Me and my lad jack are going to be at these and we were wondering if any other manta owners would be attending with their cars.

If anyone is planning on going to any of these shows and would like to meet up then give me a shout. As it would be really good to meet you and your cars.

If there's any other good classic car shows in the north west area that you think would be a good day out for me and my lad, please can you let me know when and where they are.

Cheers stuart and jack.

Hi Stu.

The OMOC will be attending some shows in the summer but because of insurance you can not put a car on a club stand unless you are a fully paid member of the OMOC.

This was an issue discussed at the AGM.

Regards.

Kev.

Edit, there is nothing stopping you going as an individual of course :thumbup

Hi kev.

I hope that you are ok.

Please can you let me know what shows manta members will possibly attending in the north west.

Then I will  apply as a non member and go as an individual.

TTake care and hopefully see you soon.

Cheers stuart and jack.

Hi ya Danny.

I hope that you are keeping well.

I will join the club one day.

I only haven't joined before as I am lazy.

Plus I seem  to get any what I need from the forum is ok now.

That ranges from me asking for any parts and advice ,through to me helping other members with help and advice.

As well as helping other members with parts that I have available.

The only downside is when members advertise items and block people like me from viewing them.

BIT CHILDISH REALLY.

AS ITS DIFFERENT IF I AM HELPIING THEM OUT.

But heh ho.

Rules are rules.

I hope that front wing was ok for you.

Take care and good to hear from you.

Cheers stuart and jack.

A great weekend  was missed by all at Southport.

The weather was great and there were 100's of cars there

What made it even  better was the fact that mine and my lads manta won best in class.

So we ended up splattered  all over the local paper with our massive trophy.

Ormskirk Motorfest  next on August  bank holiday  Sunday.

If it's anything like  last year's event  it should be a  cracking day  out.

WEATHER PERMITTING. ....

IF ANYONE OUT THERE  IS PLANNING ON  ATTENDING  THEN PLEASE  GIVE ME A  SHOUT.

THEN WE CAN  MEET UP FOR A CHEEKY  BEER AND A PORK PIE..

What a brilliant  car show at Ormskirk  yesterday

Lots of top cars  from all different decades plus lots of people  to enjoy  them.

My manta was subject  to a lot of interest from the members of the  public, the judges and the local mayor.

What was the icing on the  cake was me and my son winning 2 trophies for our manta.😆

1.was the mayors choice.

2.judges voted best sports car.

Days like this  make all the hard sweat  and tears worth while.

Plus  it was really  nice to me a lovely  guy  off the forum who is about to start  refurbing  a manta A very soon.

He also  enjoyed  seeing  our car and gave some  kind complimentary  comments. 😃

May be next year  some of you guys might attend.

WELL WORTH IT.👍

Sorry fella the 8 year old was in and out of bed all night, was 3 pm before we got out of the house and I was outvoted so it was straight to Formby to get the last of the Sun. Glad you bagged some trophies and gutted I didn't get to meet you and see your Manta in the flesh.

Near Mottram, foot of the Woodhead pass. For his latest trick he's just had a bout of PlayStation rage and chucked the controller at his telly, ruined :( Doctors made us wait near 3 years to tell us he's not Autistic, we now await the next round of tests for ADHD or ODD. Sorry not Manta related just needed to vent, I have to put it down to him being poorly rather than a naughty/spoilt kid.
