They aren't expensive when you take into account buying an old one and refurbishing it to new standard.

manxmanta
Hi Sid Let me know how you get on as I'm getting a 1.8s. The original carb is not that good and I will probably be looking to change it. Cheers Manxmanta
Sid
Hi will let you know i found plenty of kits for the 1.6/1.9 cih engines I recently fitted a Weber kit to my Manta A .The car would never start on the original Solex unless i sprayed brake cleaner down it ,now a slight bit of choke and she fires up very pleased
Jim@Sharon
The Weber carb you want for 1.8s should be a 32/34 DMTL. That is the one that is fitted to our 1.8s 1984 GT I managed to pick one up brand new in the box from Beaulieu at their Autojumble a year or so ago, for £60 still on the market and still listed on the web com site. Snowy
Did you go for the 32/34 DMTL or the 32/36 DVG?
Sid
DMTL was the only choice for the OHC kit

Snowy
The 32/36 is the better choice. But you're right they don't sell it as a kit. But they do sell the carb to manifold adapter plate and you can remove the throttle bracket off the manta carb to fit to the weber.

Which part are you having trouble with? I took the varijet linkage off, opened up the square hole a fraction and swapped this onto the Weber. This enabled the use of the standard 1800 throttle cable etc.
