Airspeed
I keep seeing reference to cheap copies of the engelmann mirrors, usually the 'victory ones for only £27 per pair on ebay'. Sounds perfect - but I can never find a listing! Can anyone point me in the right direction, ebay or not? Bob
CRAZYDAVE
Not sure how good the copies are but i would recommend contacting Lepo5 he will sell you a genuine set for a very fair price and hes great to deal with

Airspeed
Thanks for the help folks. The car I have built (thread to come soon!) is to be used primarily for targa rallies and historic road rallies. Whilst tidy it's no show car so spending money on genuine englemann mirrors from Lepo5 or elsewhere seems rash, and I'd rather leave them for those who want the genuine article. Something vaquely correct and which allows me to see backwards is all I need, so 'shite' victory mirrors will be fine for me!

Snowy
only an opinion bro Rather than keep saying they are shit would it be possible to tell us why? As they are tempting at that price. What is it that you don't rate about them? Thanks

mantasrme
I've got one on my car, been on there about 5 or 6 years now. Hasn't fallen off, glass hasn't dropped out, and it doesn't wobble loose or move around by itself. Yes its thinner plastic than a genuine one and feels a little more flimsy when your handling it, but once its fitted you don't notice that. And just like a genuine one you can't see much out of it when your driving, so if you want to actually see behind you keep the original ones

Robert Hutcheson
Do these come with the blanking plate for the original mirror that's at the bottom corner of the window?
OPEL PARTS GREECE
Do these come with the blanking plate for the original mirror that's at the bottom corner of the window? You will need Extra part CORNER FILLER DOOR WINDOW RAIL LEFT or Right (+20 Euros per item) LESS HOLE (in case that you have the one with the mounting hole) or you will put a blanking plate by yourself. Rick-Manta
I've got some of the personal opinioned shite ones too, the self tapping screws supplied to fit them aren't up to the job, you'd need to get four small bolts to fit the mounting block to your door. I used a pair of them a few years back when they were first pointed out, perfect if you're on a budget, like most of us are but could be a bit tacky using them on a car that you're really looking to show off. If the Spanish ones are better 30 euros seems a good price, I'm not sure what that is in pounds sterling but can't be far off the Thai suppliers price if you're taking postage costs into consideration.

mickappy
he asked for a ralley car! not a show car. any mirror would quite easily fly off if hit by a branch or something similar! he asked for a link not opinions!! put the savings on the mirrors to put in to the rest of the car. MY OPINION ONLY.. by the way all 400 type mirrors are about as much use as a chocolate tea pot... ;-))
