Hi All ,

I'm 13 And I Was Just After Getting My First Opel Manta About A Month Ago . The Car Is An Original Dublin Car With The Old Irish Number Plates On It 555 NZC . The Car Is In Bad Need Of welding And Restoration . Its Blue In Color With Blue Interior . It Has A 19S Engine And A 4-Speed Gearbox . I Want To Keep It Original As A Berlinetta But My Brother Wants It As A GTE But It Most Likely Will Be A Berlinetta . Ill Post Pictures In A Few Minutes So Yous Can See What State The Car Is In.

Hi Owen,

Your Manta is looking good mate! Stay motivated and committed and one day it will be gleaming! You have already achieved something great which is having a Manta at the age of 13, I'm 22 and still trying to get mine.

I have looked at your manta photo but could only find the one maybe I'm doing something wrong?

Jack.

Thanks all , just taking a good look at the car and the swan necks and chassis seem to be in good condition . The bits that are rotted and rusted seem to just be where the water lay and since it was a sunroof the water ran down the a pillars and rotted them out . The floor and boot floor is rotted but the arches are pure solid and so is the rest of the car .

well its not while bad but the bottoms of the A pillars are rotten as it was a sunroof and the pipe down the pillar , also the metal above where the rear window is is practically gone . not too bad but easier to get a roof skin with pillars

I would like to give you advice on the swan necks but I have not had experience yet of restoring a project Car so I don't think I've got the answer and I also can't find the swan neck picture again. If you need any help with your project like the swan necks someone on here will have the exact answer and relevant experience and be able to advise you on what you need to do with them.

Jack.
