stradacab Posted April 23, 2014 Share Posted April 23, 2014 I converted from auto to manual so on that basis the auto cable is longer and will go to manual ( so maybe a manual one won't reach the auto take off) so my first post may be misleading sorry. Julian Posted April 30, 2014 Share Posted April 30, 2014 The manual cable was to short for the auto on my Cavalier, but I was lucky and had a used auto one of someone on here, can't remember who, he took his auto box out to fit a getrag I think, and I had the cable, only cost postage!! I worked in that factory for two months when I left school in 1948, it was the Perry Chain factory then, making three speed hubs for bikes, £2 something for a forty hour week!
