Hi all

I am after a pair of engine mounts for fitting a cih into my manta A rally car. I have decided to go the 4 cylinder route this time and i need a set of the rubber block type with a threaded portion and rubber locating lug at the bottom and a threaded section on the top. I also need the metal top covers off these as well.

Over the years i have given them away and now i find i require them myself.

Can anyone help please.

regards

Ian

Well the O/S one that I have is exactly the same as the one that is shown in the Haynes Manual, BUT, it isnot the same as the one in your photo, as it appears to have three studs on it, what the third one is for I don't know, as the one I have has only two studs.so sorry mate, I hope you get sorted somehow.

Julian.

Hi fellas,

Bit of a strange one this.

The bolt and locating lug on the underside of the rubber mounting ( pic 2) fit into the standard holes on the subframe. In pic 1 the bolt and nut fix the rubber to the steel mounting plate and the threaded bolt is part of the mounting plate for fixing the extention arm to the engine. Hope you understood that.

its the rubber and seperate mounting plate we need.

Yes Dr. Manta has them at a price, but having given them away,2 or 3 sets, we thought we would see if any were available..

At his price I shall be fabricating my own as before.

Regards

Ian

let me know if they are the ones, looks like the left and the right ones are slightly different to each other. They are in quite good condition and only took them of mine as i have changed the whole cross member on mine.

I dont need them so there yours if you need them for the cost of postage and a small donation to the old opel project!

The cross member i have on mine now is off a late A and looks a bit like the one on the B as it has the plates and takes a round engine mount, but i havnt seen that type on many.
