Got it from ebay ..Says Opel like a vauxhall....but better. Will be a long winded project on the Kadett as its just rotten.

Another update of ongoing rust conversion project

rebuilt headlight surround






still got a good door gap after all that metal/rust being cut out


Well worked out that its took 6 week to do from drivers side ,inner wing and across to o/s headlight surround ....sh*t got some time to go

To be honest I thought this one had the look of death about it, but you are proving me wrong!!!!! Keep it up, a post and a panel areas are the hardest bit, it gets easier from now!!

Been dragging my feet lately but thought i would put a few new pics on .Got it now on my usuall home made engine cradle spit






Got engine ,gearbox and now back axle ready to go in the bin (unless anyone wants them quick)


Going to crack on with finishing floor and upper spring seats over the next week

Is it me or does Billing look a no hope for this car this year

Panel cost has not been too bad thankfully ,but cost me an 8x4 sheet of steel up to now and loads of time on fab .Read through your thread on your Kadett and it frightened me .How is it going on or is it on hold

Yeah the Kadett was sorry for itself, and looking back I could have done a load of bits better with what I've learnt in the last 4 years but that's life. Stopped counting steel after I passed 64sq ft.....

64 sq that is some going ,did you buy panels on top of that? Mine doesnt sound too bad if so .Still getting me down though as seem to have welder permanently in hand and best friends with BOC
