The bolts for the clutch are m6 and are still available ( by having your pants pulled down) from vauxhall at about 2 quid a piece.
M9 is what holds the manifold onto the engine on a CIH.
Yea i can get different inner splines but you will have to count the splines and some friction plates look the same but will not work, for instance, the v6 cav one is the same inner and outer and same pattern as the LET but because of the way the friction plate is riveted it will not fit into the recess in the xe flywheel.
I can help but can only supply at your cost the specific part you want.
Clutch parts from different applications are an expensive mine field and i only know from bitter experience  ;)
Cheers
Kev
Edit, are you running a 265? If so that is a Ford spline

HI Kev, presume its a typo, but the clutch to flywheel bolts are not M6 they are M7....

Knew they were an odd size!!! Can you get hold of them? I may be able to but i'll have to buy a load of them. Runnimg a 240 getrag but might be switching to a Ford Type E (i think, 3 ltr capri box) for the grasser.

Cheers

Chris

Just been out to garage to check this and they are m7 :thumbup  that's why I had to buy the buggers I suppose and have my pants pulled down at vauxhall for them.
Looking at the top of the bolts they aren't even special, just an 8.8 m7 bolt
Found out recently the 265 have 2 different splines too, both of mine ( monza 265 and jag 265 have a ' fine spline but my mate Gordons and Ians 265's have a 'coarse' spline) bloody PITA

Hi Kevin,
Is this kit for the C20XE flat flywheel or pot type flywheel?
I think it does matter because i know that the pressure plates are different.

If they are for the flat flywheel can i ask you how much in total delivered to Ireland south.
you can pm me if you want.

thanks
dtm

They are for the flat flywheel.  That's the one you would want to use on a LET too of you wanted to swap over from the boat anchor on the LET
I'll get a price to Ireland.
Sent plenty but still can't remember the bloody price!
I will need a xe pressure plate from you or a surcharge ( applied by my supplier not me) will add to the cost, sorry
You may also have to wait longer if you can't supply an exchange unit.
Regards
Kev

Kev

I have just noticed that I have ordered the wrong friction plate, mine has more splines than on the one I have. How much for a replacement friction plate. I will count them tomorrow.

Hi Rob
Give me a bell mate
The 16v friction plate that is fitted to the xe in fwd has many more splines than the one for the Manta Getrag box so they will look different.
Posted Image
Above is the kit to suit the xe or let with flat flyweel
Middle of friction plate is getrag spline, less than fwd f20 etc boxes

I wish to apologise to Kev, as I found out that I am a grade A plonker.

After chatting with Kev and all the info he gave me, I found out that I have the right clutch friction plate and my input shaft was slightly burred. I feel like a Biff at the moment and thank Kev for his help in getting me to retry the clutch plate to see the problem.

Thanks again

Rob

Yeh Kev I have enlisted some help next week to aid me in fitting the gearbox.

Bought some new bolts for the cover plate from QED.

On a slightly different note did you find any cables (clutch/speedo) for the standard box.
