there just a push fit dead easy
i would paint them with red oxide 1st and then your topcoat, thats what the master engineer big cliff  reccommends
a light coat on the inside will not cause any fitting problems :D

i would just use a bit off wd40 on the rubber on the car bodywork were the bracket tab fits , will go in better than a virgin :P
