that's correct

just waiting on my 63 dia silicone hose coupler and 90 degree bend to arrive from Hong Kong and I will get the tail out through the bulkhead and there will be a ram flow pod filter fitted where the battery tray is, that should stop any dust being dragged in and allow me to service the filter when it looks dirty

super flex bushes on the lower wish bone, did not use the powerflex ones as they don't come with the stainless steel outer sleeve lower ball joint fitted (still has protective cap on it for now)
Posted Image

power flex bushes on upper wish bone, still to fit the upper ball joints (once I get some new bolts) and the chassis outrigger

brute strength and ignorance is all you need to get the springs in, urethane bump stops, urethane spring mounts made things a bit harder too.

Hi,quick question, where did you source the poly spring mounts from? I`ve been trawling around looking for ones for the rear of my car.

Hi,many thanks for the links to the spring isolaters. You seem to be doing a grand job on yor rebuild. On your post about the remote servos we used to run them on an ascona rally car years ago, pedal always seemed a bit vague but it never failed to stop. When we ran the manta we did away with the servos and just used .725 master cylinders not so good with standard calipers but with 4pots and vented discs you barely had to breath on the pedal to stand it on its nose even from cold.

that's interesting, thanks for sharing that with me.
where you from in Aberdeen? I was brought up in Summer Hill, had a flat in Mile End Ave, then Portlethen, then Westhill before leaving to come out here. I was back in August, most enjoyable, loved the Tennants and a pint in the Grill Bar.

Decided to clean the hydraulic lifters that came with my COSCAST head following the steps downloaded off MIGWEB

See also here http://www.fueltopia...aulic-lifters-1

Strange thing is the inlet lifters seen to have different insides to the exhaust ones, will need to get to the bottom of that before I go any further, can anyone offer any input on that please.

The whole lot is now soaking in a bucket of diesel after the initial clean, I will do another clean tomorrow

Well we are now here, been here for 4 weeks, containers arrived on Tuesday, house is full of 400+ boxes of stuff and not an Opel manta in sight, do have my Opel GT  though, had a drama getting it out of the container though as the steering lock/key wouldn't budge so had to strip the column down in the container in the dark just to push her out to be inspected.
She now sits in a friends workshop waiting for me to bring her home, sort that out and get her certified, what a palaver.
Got the wife's BMW today and had to fit new front discs and a Tyre to keep the certifier happy as well, so didn't quite expect to get the kit out so soon but hey ho!!

Just need someone to give me a construction management job now and we can move forward again.

Hi Steve, yes I did hear from Neville that you had arrived, he asked if I could collect and store his bits for him if they end up getting in your way, which isnt a problem, I can travel down form Pukekohe to do that and also meet you.
Pity you are not up this way as I could have given you a few pointers in the Construction scene up here but I doubt you will have any problems getting work in Tauranga, number one on the list could be Fletcher Construction they are the biggest and best in NZ
Drop me an e-mail if you need anything.
